To many, this month is known as ‘Veganuary’ – a campaign designed to inspire and support people to try vegan for January.
At Texon we want to help raise awareness of the month of Veganuary by showcasing Texon Vogue, our vegan friendly, sustainable material which provides a real alternative to creative leather based products.
Texon Vogue is a 100% FSC certified, natural fibre paper which has both the look and feel of leather. It is washable, stitchable, printable and sustainable and can be used as a highly visual, creative and practical solution across many aspects of the fashion apparel and accessories industry.
Not only does it provides a wealth of creative opportunities Texon Vogue has excellent environmental credentials; it is accredited by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) and Oeko-Tex, and is also RSL Compliant. It contains non-metallic dyes and is now available as a formaldehyde-free formulation which means it can be used in children’s products.
The Texon Vogue range of finishes and textures includes Texon Vintex, a ‘vintage’ version of Texon Vogue which has a particular wrinkled effect, and Texon Buffalo Stark and Texon Derby both of which have leather-like finishes and can be used to produce bookbindings, bags, labels or leather-effect goods.
